Events & activities

This page contains information about current events and activities related to San Jacinto Council, GSUSA, and WAGGGS history that are sponsored by the Council History Committee. Additionally, self-tours of the Goodykoontz Museum of Girl Scout History are a year-round activity for adults and girls of all ages. See the Museum page in this online community for details about these free tours and hours of operation. Check back periodically for updates to events and activities for girls and for adults.

Daisy Day is a wonderful opportunity for registered Daisies to take part in Girl Scout ceremonies, traditions, and meet other Girl Scouts for the day. Hosted by the Council History Committee Program, this day will include outdoor activities, crafts, games, tour of Misty Meadows Ranch and more! It has been rumored Juliette Low herself will be joining the Daises at Misty Meadows Ranch. An event patch for each girl is included. Troops must follow the girl/volunteer ratio. No tagalongs please.

Join the Council History Committee-Program and celebrate Juliette Low's Birthday. Girls will learn Girl Scout songs which have been sung through the years, make some crafts, play games and more! We may even have a special visit from the birthday girl herself. A fun patch will be included. This is a girl only celebration.

Calling all Brownies and Juniors! Juliette Chronicles is back offering a new workshop. Each girl will step back in time and participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities which from the past. Full details will be posted in the future. Each girl to bring their own lunch. A patch is included so do not miss our on al the fun for the day. Hosted by the Council History Committee-Program.

A touch of history in your teacup. The girls will learn how to brew the perfect cup of tea, table manners, tea sandwich tips and a favorite of Juliette Low’s, fan etiquette. You may wear your favorite tea party dress or hat and join this unforgettable afternoon hosted by the Council History Committee in partnership with the Kappa Delta Sorority.  A fun patch and special token are included. This is a girl only event.

Be among the first to see the newly updated exhibits at the Girl Scout Museum and purchase the new museum patch.  The displays have been enhanced with QR codes so you can use your cell phone to hear the audio description.  After exploring the new displays, learn some new songs and games - including some passed down from Juliette Low's time.  This event includes a patch for girls.  (Extra patches are available for purchase in the shop.)

Drop-off and Supervision: This is NOT a drop-off event; Girl Scout ratio of adults is required
Tagalongs: Tagalongs are welcome, with adequate adult supervision

A small group experience while at camp for the morning (B J) or afternoon (C S A). Girls will be cooking and tasting a few recipes from the past. Travel back in time and experience a few indoor and outdoor cooking recipes. Hosted be the Council History Committee-Program and includes a fun patch.
